I’m a little late posting the fourth installment of my Project 52 – but here it is!

I’ve been wanting to make a recipe book of all my favorite recipes. I like taking pictures of all my food, so putting them together in a recipe book would be perfect! This Quiche recipe I came up with is a great start to the book.

Feel free to try the recipe while you’re at it!

Edited to Add: I’ve re-uploaded the recipe, I realized I left out an important ingredient from the page (MILK!) and adjusted the oven temps. Enjoy!

Hello Baby!

Another one of my friends had a baby this week, a little boy named Jacob. I guess when you’re in my age range (mid 30′s), it’s pretty common for everyone to be having babies, but even still, I feel like we’re all too young for this! Maybe that’s because we’ve known each other so long. In my mind we’re still 18!

I dug out some old retired materials for this one. I have to use this stuff up! The designer paper I *LOVE*…it’s from a Sale-A-Bration from a couple years ago. The So Saffron and Wild Wasabi make the perfect baby color combo!

Coming up…installment #3 in my Project 52.

This is the facing page to my Project 52 – 2 page. When I scrapbook, I typically like to make my facing pages match, especially if they share a common theme. This page continues my Day 2 adventures in Singapore. I took like a zillion pictures on this trip, so day 2 may continue for a few more pages

A trick for making facing pages that match and line up easily:
In My Digital Studio, navigate to the page that you want to make the facing page for.
Go to Insert > Insert Duplicate Page Mirrored.
Doing so will insert a copy of the page, but flipped as a mirror image. You can then change out the pictures or elements.

Over the summer, Bon Ton had a great sale on sandals. I bought two pair of the same exact sandals – in two different colors. I’ve had the boxes laying around ever since.

I’m in the process of rethinking my craft room/office layout and design. Well, there really is no design (problem one). But the layout definitely isn’t working for me anymore. As part of the process I was looking at these really pretty boxes and bins at Michael’s and other stores. Then I remembered the ugly old shoeboxes.

A little retired Designer Series paper (from the Sweet Pea pack), some red line tape, and viola! I have some new storage boxes on the cheap.

I have to apologize in advance for the quality of the pics. I had to used the pop up flash on my camera, and well, yuck.

A card for the birthday boy

A friend of our’s son just turned a year old last week. I had this brightly colored wrapping paper to wrap his gift in, and wanted to match it with a card. I love the Fox & Friends set for cute cards like this!

Here’s the second installment of my Project 52! Another scrapbook page. This one is of our first stop in Singapore, which was Suntec City. Suntec City happens to be the second largest shopping mall in Singapore – or at least it was at the time! We went to a Koi garden which was beautiful. I don’t know what they feed their Koi in Singapore, but these things were really big!

Project 52?

I saw on another blog a posting about a “Project 52″. Basically, you create something, or take a photo, every week for a year to post.

A year is a reaaaaaallllyyyy long time. People get busy. I have NO IDEA if I’ll be able to stick with this for a year, but with all best intentions, let’s pretend for now that I will. I’m going to try to post something once a week, above and beyond my normal schtick. I really should make the 52 projects for this scrapbook pages, since I’m sooooo far behind on my scrapbooking, but I reserve the right to change my mind on that

So with that said, here’s my first installment of Project 52. A scrapbook page from my trip to SE Asia in Spring of 2009. It was an *amazing* once in a lifetime trip. We went to Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. We also had the “pleasure” of a really long layover in Doha, Qatar, UAE.

This was made in My Digital Studio using all Stampin’ Up elements. I also used a template from MyDigitalStudio.net Sketch Challenge #13 to get the creative juices flowing!

2011 Calendar

For the past four or five years, I’ve made a small 4×6 calendar for my desk at work. Last year was the first year I used My Digital Studio to make one, so I did the same this year. It came our much better this year since I’ve had more practice with the software.

I’m not going post all 12 months, but here are some of my favorites. All photography is my own.
